For older adults, anxiety, depression, stress and other conditions can be compounded by age-related issues like the deaths of loved ones, declining physical health and a loss of independence.
The Hospital of Central Connecticut's Senior Care provides specialized treatment for people 55 and older with various psychiatric diagnoses.
Programs are staffed by a psychiatrist and licensed clinical social workers.
Most major insurances, Medicare, Medicaid and SAGA are accepted. Patients without coverage may apply to the hospital's free bed/charity care program.

The Older Adult Programs are not equipped to treat patients with a primary diagnosis of dementia, but can treat older adults experiencing stress in caring for a loved one with dementia.

- Therapy Groups, including Men's and Women's Groups
- Couples Therapy
- An Intensive Outpatient Program for Patients Needing More Frequent or Intensive Therapy
- Individual Therapy
