eLearning Prenatal Education

When traditional childbirth education classes are not a possibility due to bed rest, scheduling conflicts or time constraints, we have a solution.

Family Enrichment Center

The Hospital of Central Connecticut's Family Enrichment Center helps families achieve parenting goals through a blend of programs that emphasize family support, bonding and nurturing. Programs are free for families in Greater New Britain.

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

Our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is staffed by a multidisciplinary Care Team that includes board-certified neonatologists (pediatricians specializing in the care of premature and sick newborns); certified pediatric physician assistants; and neonatal nurses. Additional Care Team members also provide and support care for you and your baby as needed.

When a baby has spent a period of time in the special care nursery and is ready to go home, parents can spend a night or two in a transition room, next to the NICU, receiving instruction and getting familiar with their child’s needs.

Maternal Fetal Medicine

Maternal-Fetal Medicine focuses on your baby through a variety of tests to ensure their safety.

GYN Services

The Hospital of Central Connecticut provides full-service gynecological care at various locations.

GYN Robotics

Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS) is a viable option for you to have less pain post-surgery and to get you back on your feet as quickly as possible.

Obstetrical hospitalists

Obstetrical hospitalists are experienced physicians who are available in the hospital 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide immediate care for pregnant patients and their babies. Their constant presence ensures that a highly skilled obstetric physician is always available to respond quickly to urgent situations, support labor and delivery care, and collaborate closely with nurses, obstetricians, anesthesiologists, and pediatric teams. This added layer of expertise enhances patient safety and provides families with peace of mind, knowing expert maternity care is available whenever it is needed.
