She's already knowledgeable of why I'm there to see her, she's very thorough in all she does, from inquiring and concern of how I feel and how I've been since my last visit. She goes over any results of tests and examination, she explains the plan of action with elaboration if needed. I rest very assured that she will help me to get to the best health possible. Dr. April Duckworth is honestly a breath of spunky fresh air. Kind, personable, and medically a super star. Lays out all the information you need, actually answers the question you asked and then some, cares about your health as a whole on top of her speciality. These kind of appointments are anxiety ridden by nature but she gets you laughing, even if you were just crying. When my test results came in she personally texted me, that's unheard of these days. The ducks are an added bonus. Highly Recommend. The Manchester office is clean, quiet, inclusive, with some fun decor, and easy to navigate.

Bio

Dr. April Duckworth is a breast oncology surgeon at the Hartford HealthCare Cancer Institute at The Hospital of Central Connecticut.

Dr. Duckworth completed a fellowship in breast surgery at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, and specializes in all aspects of breast surgery for benign breast disease and breast cancer.

She earned her medical degree at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and completed her residency in general surgery at Brookdale Hospital in Brooklyn. She completed a research year at the New York University Institute of Research in Plastic Surgery.
