Salsa dance class offered at hospital

(New Britain, Conn.) – The Hospital of Central Connecticut is offering salsa dance class instruction on Mondays, Sept. 29 to Dec. 1 from 5 to 6 p.m., Dining Rooms B&C at its New Britain General campus, 100 Grand St.

This class, led by instructor Estevan Miranda, will teach participants social salsa dancing and focus on listening to and following the beat and tempo of the music, as well as basic steps and turns. Participants will also learn fundamentals of partner dancing. Salsa dancing is an effective recreational exercise. The class is offered by the Department of Cardiology; cost is $100.
