If you're battling cancer, you may be seeking ways to help relieve pain, nausea and other symptoms without additional medication.
Then consider Qi Gong.
Qi Gong is a centuries-old mind and body practice. It involves certain postures and gentle movements with mental focus, breathing, and relaxation. The movements can be adapted or practiced while walking, standing, or sitting to help return life-force balance and equilibrium.
For people with current or past cancer, and their families, we're holding a class to start to learn the powerful, evidence-based techniques of Qi Gong. These techniques are designed specifically for fighting cancer, enhancing your body’s natural ability to heal and learning how you can use acupressure points to relieve the side effects of your treatment.
Join us on Wednesday, Oct. 25 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Hartford HealthCare Cancer Institute at The Hospital of Central Connecticut, 183 North Mountain Road, New Britain, Conference Rooms A, B and C. The cost is $10 per person. To register, call 1.855.HHC.HERE (1.855.442.4373), or click here.
