Hospital’s cancer center presenting free seminar on skin care June 24 at Berlin library

108_IMG_0014.JPGThe Hartford HealthCare Cancer Institute at The Hospital of Central Connecticut is presenting a free educational seminar 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 24 at Berlin-Peck Memorial Library on how to properly care for your skin. Presenter is Dr. Frank Santoro, a Board-certified dermatologist.

The seminar will present information on 
• Selecting a sunscreen with the right amount of protection
• Protecting yourself against skin cancer
• The link between tanning bed use and skin cancer
• Caring properly for your skin for graceful aging and healthy skin

The library is at 234 Kensington Road, Berlin.

Santoro is a graduate of the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and trained at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and the Henry Ford Hospital. He is a clinical instructor at Yale University School of Medicine and sees patients in the Hartford HealthCare Medical Group office in Cheshire.
