New Monthly Skin Cancer Clinic For Screenings, Treatment
July 21, 2016
Never ignore a change in the size or color of a mole, growth or spot on your body, sores that never heal or unusual tenderness, itching or pain. It could be a sign of skin cancer.
Get an overall examination and other skin cancer-related services at the new Skin Cancer Detection and Treatment Program, a monthly service starting July 27 at the Hartford HealthCare Institute at The Hospital of Central Connecticut.
Dr. Frank Santoro, a skin cancer specialist, and Lindita Vinca, an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, will be available on the fourth Wednesday each month from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. For an appointment, call 203.694.5857.
The new service offers appointments without a scheduling backlog for people who:
- Have a concerning skin lesion.
- Want an overall skin exam.
- Have been diagnosed with skin cancer.
- Experience rashes during chemotherapy treatment.
It is not recommended for people with common rashes.
