The bus stops here!
Area residents can now board a CTtransit bus that stops at the Hartford HealthCare Cancer Institute (HHCCI) at The Hospital of Central Connecticut and the adjacent Medical Arts Center.

CTtransit Route 503 makes hourly stops to the cancer center at 183 North Mountain Road in New Britain Monday through Saturday from approximately 6:30 a.m. until 7:30 p.m. (until 1:30 p.m. on Saturday). The route travels between the Bank Street bus hub in Downtown New Britain and Tunxis Community College in Farmington. Connections to this route are available in Downtown New Britain from CTfastrak and at Tunxis from the CTtransit Route 66 from Hartford.
“Ease of access to both our cancer center as well as imaging services and other offerings at this campus is very important to us and we are very pleased that CTtransit is now making regular stops here six days a week,” says Kristoffer Popovitch, director of the HHCCI at The Hospital of Central Connecticut. “We’re very appreciative of this partnership with CTtransit.”
The new cancer center is home to the cancer program at HOCC. The cancer center features medical oncology, radiation therapy, infusion center, GYN oncology, surgical oncology, laboratory services, rehabilitation and physical therapy, a resource center, integrative medicine, nurse navigation services and a boutique. Outside the cancer center is a healing garden with walking paths.
The Medical Arts Center offers imaging services, Comprehensive Breast Health Center, orthopedics and hematology oncology offices. Patient ambassadors are readily available at the center’s entrance to assist patients and visitors toward their visit locations.
