Hospital recognized for contributing to state economy
New Britain [December 05 2012] -
The Connecticut Economic Resource Center, Inc. (CERC), recently honored The Hospital of Central Connecticut for contributing to the state’s economy through its
new cancer center project.
CERC presented the hospital with a CELEBRATE CT! award at a Nov. 28 ceremony at The Bushnell in Hartford. The award honors top companies, projects, programs, organizations and individuals in regions throughout Connecticut.
HOCC broke ground Oct. 24 on a $40 million, state-of-the-art cancer center in New Britain that will consolidate outpatient services in one convenient location and allow for future expansion of cancer care. The nearly 70,000-square-foot center will be built on over nine acres on the New Britain/Plainville line.
“These awards pay tribute to the hardworking people and successful programs and projects of 2012,” said CERC President and CEO Robert Santy. “We at CERC are proud to partner with the regions to celebrate these admirable honorees, and we look forward to what 2013 will bring us.”
