Local Teenagers Volunteer as Junior Nurses’ Assistants
New Britain [March 27 2006] -
Local teenagers recently graduated from a volunteer junior nursing assistant course at New Britain General Hospital. They are: Lexa Lopez, Melissa Alvarado, Victoria Markow, and Josmarie Gonzalez, Victoria Ross, Angisel Cruz, Christopher Freeman, Ashlee Thomas, and Amber Faunce. All of the teenagers are from New Britain except Christopher Freeman, who is from Kensington.
The teens’ responsibilities will be to assist the nursing staff with making beds, filling water pitchers, delivery errands, and friendly visiting with patients. Anyone interested in volunteering should call the volunteer office at New Britain General Hospital at 860-224-5231.
