NBGH Dietitian Receives Special Certification
New Britain [August 15 2006] -
New Britain General Hospital Registered Dietitian May Harter, of Woodbury, recently received certification in childhood and adolescent weight management examination from the American Dietetic Association.
Harter, who works in the hospital’s Department of Health Promotion, developed FitKids, a family-based program for overweight children offered at the hospital. Harter received her bachelor’s degree in clinical dietetics from the University of Connecticut and her master’s degree in exercise physiology from Southern Connecticut State University.
