Artist Brings Cheer to Hospital of Central Connecticut Pediatric Patients
New Britain [August 28 2008] -
Simsbury artist Donna Lake has managed to fit everything from the Eiffel Tower to grazing elephants into patient rooms on The Hospital of Central Connecticut’s pediatrics unit. Using an “Around the World in 80 Days” theme, Lake is transforming the rooms with bright walls and colorful scenes. Pediatric specialists at the hospital treat children with a wide variety of illnesses and conditions. “I wanted to make the rooms a comforting, special place for these children,” Lake says.
