Hospital welcomes first baby born in 2008
New Britain [January 03 2008] -
The Hospital of Central Connecticut welcomed the first baby born in 2008 at the Ferdinand Sauer, M.D. Family BirthPlace.
On New Year’s Day, Karla Gabriella Quinones was born at 1:25 a.m., the daughter of Janet Rosa-Gonzalez and her husband, Carlos Quinones of New Britain.
Richard Dreiss, M.D., delivered the baby, born at 6 pounds, 3 ounces and 19 ½” long. The couple’s newborn baby adds to the family which also includes two boys, ages 9 and 6, who Rosa-Gonzalez says are “very, very happy” to have a little sister.
The hospital presented Rosa-Gonzalez with a gift basket that included baby clothes, toys, and blankets.
