Hospital to Hold Free “Breast CANCER 101” Talk
New Britain [November 16 2007] -
The Hospital of Central Connecticut’s George Bray Cancer Center will host a free talk, “Breast CANCER101: Basics for the Diagnosed,” 6:30 – 8:30 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 4 in the New Britain General campus cafeteria.
The speaker will be breast cancer survivor Monica Knoll, founder and executive director of CANCER101. The organization provides tools and resources for newly diagnosed breast cancer patients as well as caregivers, survivors and others affected by breast cancer.
Breast cancer survivors who attend the talk will receive copy of new Breast CANCER101 Ten Year Planner, a notebook containing everything a patient needs to stay organized during treatment and for the next 10 years of follow-up appointments.
Light refreshments will be provided and free parking is available in the Quigley Garage. The program is free, but registration is required by calling (860) 224-5299.
