Free “Healing for the Holidays” Grief Self-Care Workshop Scheduled

“Healing for the Holidays: A Grief Self-Care Workshop” will be held Tuesday, Nov. 27, 6-9 p.m. at The Hospital of Central Connecticut. The event is free to the public.
The holidays can be a time of both happiness and sadness. To help ease you through the season, Cynthia Kociszewski, APRN, BC, PhD, manager of The Hospital of Central Connecticut’s Wolfson Palliative Care program, and Alison Vandergrift, MSW, VNA Hospice of Central CT will discuss the psychological, social, and spiritual effects on individuals following the death of a loved one.
Guest presenters will introduce participants to the art of meditation, guided imagery, sacred writing and other self care activities.
The event will be held in lecture rooms 1 and 2 of the hospital’s New Britain General campus. A light dinner and free parking will be provided. Due to limited seating, registration is required. To register, call Eileen at 860-224-5463.
