Gynecologic Cancer Awareness Program Scheduled
New Britain [September 21 2007] -
The Hospital of Central Connecticut’s George Bray Cancer Center will hold a dinner and speaking program, “Matzo Ball Miso Soup for the Woman’s Soul: A Nice Japanese-Jewish Girl’s Guide to Surviving Cancer” Tuesday, Sept. 25, 5:30-8:30 p.m.
The event, to be held in the hospital’s New Britain General campus cafeteria, will feature speaker Linda Lowen, a 13-year ovarian cancer survivor. Lowen is a former producer at Central New York Public Broadcasting and host of “Women’s Voices.” She is also a member of SHARE (a women’s peer-to-peer breast and ovarian cancer support program and a Syracuse, N.Y.-based film critic.
The program is free for gyn cancer survivors and one guest and free parking will be available in the Quigley Garage. Reservations are required. Call (860) 224-5299 to reserve a seat.
