Annual Chrysanthemum Ball Fundraiser Scheduled
New Britain [August 30 2007] -
The Annual Chrysanthemum Ball to benefit The Hospital of Central Connecticut will be held 6:30 p.m. to midnight, Saturday, Nov. 3 at the Aqua Turf Club in Southington.
Sponsored by the New Britain General campus Auxiliary, this festive event includes dinner, dancing to the top 40 music of “Prelude” and more. Event co-chairs are Lisa King and Annette Salina.
Tickets are $150 per person; funds raised from the ball will allow the Auxiliary to fulfill its $1 million pledge to help refurbish the hospital’s cardiac catheterization suite, which opened in late 2005.
The suite includes a state-of-the-art imaging unit dedicated to cardiology, and a second unit dedicated to interventional radiology. The equipment provides the necessary tools to perform primary angioplasty — an emergency, life-saving procedure for those experiencing a heart attack.
Through the ball and other fundraising efforts, the Auxiliary has contributed more than $3 million to the Hospital’s New Britain General campus.
