Free Lectures on Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Anxiety and Emotional Eating

The Hospital of Central Connecticut’s fall Health Wisdom Lecture Series starts Sept. 18 and features free lectures on carpal tunnel syndrome, anxiety and emotional eating.
All lectures are in the New Britain General campus cafeteria. Lectures begin at 6:30 p.m., with light refreshments at 6:15. Lectures are free, but reservations are required. For more information and to reserve a seat, call 1-888-224-4440.
The 2007 fall lectures are:
Tues., Sept. 18, “Give Your Hands a Hand”: Michael T. LeGeyt, M.D., a board-certified hand surgeon, and Dawn Finkelstein, OTR, CHT, discuss carpal tunnel syndrome – contributing factors, symptoms and treatments, as well as hand therapy.
Tues., Oct. 16, “Exploring Anxiety”: Jeannie Dilworth, APRN, will shed some light on anxiety, including signs and symptoms and some of the latest treatment options.
Tues., Nov. 13, “Emotional Eating”: Do you snack when your stressed, or overeat when you’re upset? Dietitian May Harter, RD, will explore emotional eating and offer tactics for breaking this unhealthy habit.
