Pig roast to raise funds for cancer center

A pig roast to raise money for The Hospital of Central Connecticut’s George Bray Cancer Center will be held Saturday, Sept. 15, 1-8 p.m. at the VFW Hall, Veterans Drive, New Britain.
The event will feature food, music, prizes and a cash bar; a $20 donation is requested.. For information or to purchase tickets, call Frank Bedrosian, (860) 462-7365 or (860) 223-0614.
It’s the second annual pig roast Bedrosian has organized to honor friends and family members touched by cancer, including a loved one who died last year. Last year’s pig roast raised $3,680.
The hospital’s George Bray Cancer Center provides comprehensive, advanced cancer care through its infusion (chemo) therapy unit, inpatient oncology unit and the American Savings Foundation Radiation Oncology Treatment Center.
