Bradley Golf Tournament Raises Over $25,000
Southington [June 11 2007] -
The 17th Annual Bradley Memorial Golf Tournament May 23 raised over $25,000 for programs and services at The Hospital of Central Connecticut’s Bradley Memorial campus, the highest amount ever.
The event drew 149 golfers and more than 30 enthusiastic volunteers to Hawk’s Landing Country Club in Southington. The Farmington-based ConnectiCare Inc. was the first-ever tournament Title Sponsor. Platinum Sponsors included MRI of New Britain, CenConn Services Inc. and ACS Healthcare Solutions. Parson’s Buick of Plainville was the Hole-In-One Sponsor, and Hitachi Medical Systems was Happy Hour Sponsor.
“We are very grateful to the sponsors, players, volunteers and all involved for supporting this event,” said David Obedzinski, executive director of Institutional Advancement and chief development officer for the hospital. “Funds raised through the tournament help the hospital carry out its mission to provide the most advanced healthcare services to the Central Connecticut community.”
The Newington Cold Stone Creamery donated ice cream for all golfers during happy hour; Tops Supermarket provided water to cool off golfers on the course; and Perkins Travel donated two airline tickets for the live auction.
