Hospital Of Central Connecticut Auxiliary Fashion Show Raises $4,000
New Britain [May 10 2007] -
More than 280 people attended The Hospital of Central Connecticut Auxiliary’s April 29 fashion show, which raised more than $4,000.
Funds will be donated toward the Auxiliary’s five-year, $1 million pledge to support the cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology suite at the New Britain General campus.
Celebrity models included New Britain Mayor Timothy Stewart and his wife, Patricia, Auxiliary members and hospital physicians and staff modeling fashions from Coldwater Creek of Canton, JoS. A. Bank Clothiers, Inc. of West Hartford, and Connecticut Furs, Inc. of New Britain. The show was held at the Crowne Plaza in Cromwell.
A chocolate truffle sale was held in conjunction with the show, with those who purchased truffles entered into a drawing for a diamond pendant valued at $1,800. Marcia Anderson, the hospital’s cancer resource specialist, won the pendant.
