Hospital Auxiliary Holds 16th Annual Charity Golf Tournament
New Britain [May 10 2006] -
The New Britain General Hospital Auxiliary will hold its 16th annual New Britain General Hospital Auxiliary Golf Tournament on Tuesday, June 13, 2006 at Tunxis Plantation Country Club in Farmington, CT. The tournament is open to the public for participation or sponsorship.
The proceeds from the tournament will be used to purchase a Cardiology Teaching Module to aid in the training of medical students and residents in the cardiology department.
Since the Auxiliary was founded in 1899, it has been a major supporter and funding source for the Hospital. The Auxiliary has pledged $1 million toward the capital campaign, specifically for the refurbishment of the cardiac catheterization suite. Proceeds from the past two golf tournaments have resulted in the purchase of a Philips cardiac cath stand-alone workstation and a hemodynamic monitor.
