New Britain [December 28 2006] -
Students at Saint Paul’s School in Kensington made a gift of 475 new children’s books to the “Pedi Play and Read Program at the Pediatric department of The Hospital of Central Connecticut’s New Britain General Campus.
Matteo Lopreiato, MD, a member of the medical staff at the hospital, coordinated the donation.
“We are so grateful to the children of St. Paul’s School and to Dr. Lopreiato for helping this to happen. Our young patients will truly appreciate their generosity,” said Dr. Toni Capriglione, chief of pediatrics at the hospital.
The Pedi Play and Read Program provides children admitted to and cared for by the hospital’s Pediatrics Department with their own age appropriate toys, games, and books. They can enjoy these items while being cared for and take them home to keep.
