Heart Health Screenings
As part of American Heart Month, The Hospital of Central Connecticut (HOCC) is offering free heart health screenings on Wednesday, Feb. 27 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at its Bradley Memorial campus, 81 Meriden Ave., Southington. The event will offer free cholesterol, blood pressure and glucose screenings and an opportunity to chat with an HOCC cardiologist about heart disease and prevention.
In addition, vascular screenings, for those over age 50, will be offered to check for plaque in arteries. The vascular screening, not covered by insurance or Medicare, costs $50; to register for a vascular screening, please call 860-276-5304.
