The Pre-Op Interview

One to three days before your procedure, a nurse will conduct a phone interview with you. Please have handy a list of all current medications, including dosages, and any pertinent medical or surgical history.
You may designate a family member to give this information. The 10- to 15-minute pre-op interview is conducted between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday-Friday.
Arrival times cannot be given until the day before your procedure due to last-minute schedule changes. The interview nurse will give your arrival time or tell you how to obtain that information. Arrival times vary between 6 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
Pre-admission Testing Appointment
Bradley Memorial campus
Prior to surgery, the Bradley Memorial campus Admitting Department will contact you to schedule a Preadmission Testing Appointment. Depending on the tests your doctor has ordered, you may be required to come to the hospital for certain testing, or be scheduled for a telephone interview with the Pre-admission Testing nurse.
