Treatment of infectious diseases
Physicians in the Division of Infectious Diseases diagnose and treat patients with bacterial, fungal, viral and parasitic diseases. All our Infectious Disease physicians are board certified and have extensive clinical experience. Care is provided in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. Consultations require a referral from your primary care provider or treating subspecialist.
Pre-travel consultations are available without physician referral. Evaluation includes malaria risk assessment, risk of diarrheal disease, yellow fever and other infections to which individuals embarking on foreign travel may be exposed. Prescriptions for medications to prevent malaria and travelers’ diarrhea as well as vaccinations for hepatitis, yellow fever, typhoid fever and numerous other preventable diseases are available.
