The Emergency Department at The Hospital of Central Connecticut has two locations so members of our communities can receive convenient emergency care close to home, 24/7.

Our mission is to exceed the expectations of our patients and medical staff by providing outstanding emergency care delivered with efficiency, sensitivity and compassion, on time, anytime, to anyone who requests our services.
The physicians, physician assistants, nurses, technicians and other staff are specially trained in emergency medicine and have extensive experience responding to all types of crises, including:
- Cardiac and respiratory conditions
- Orthopedic injuries, sprains, dislocations and strains
- Lacerations, burns, chemical exposures
- Gynecologic conditions
- Ear, nose, throat and eye injuries/conditions
- Pediatric emergencies
- Psycho-social issues
- And others
The Emergency Department uses EmpowER, an advanced, electronic record-keeping system that allows caregivers to easily share specific patient data, including medical history, medication allergies and other important information.
