About George Bray
During his 35 years as a surgeon and as chief of New Britain General Hospital's medical staff, George H. Bray, M.D., saw the many faces of cancer. He steadfastly believed positive attitude, compassion and encouragement work hand-in-hand with advanced technology to positively impact recovery.
When he was diagnosed with cancer and became a patient himself, he became a living example of the message he proclaimed. The cancer center bearing his name blends science with the art of caring. Thousands of patients have benefited from its vital services since it opened in 1992.
