The Hospital of Central Connecticut's bariatric (weight-loss) surgery program can help individuals with severe obesity lose weight they have been unable to lose using other methods. Bariatric surgery is an option for people whose health and quality of life are being affected by severe obesity.
We offer a variety of
bariatric surgery procedures, including gastric banding (our surgeons use the
Lap-Band® and
Realize™ Adjustable Gastric Band); single-incision gastric banding, sleeve gastrectomy and gastric bypass surgery.

The Hospital of Central Connecticut has been designated a Center of Excellence by the American Society for Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS).The designation follows a rigorous program review of the hospital's bariatric surgery program by the Surgical Review Corporation (SRC).
