| Position Duties: |
| |
Organizes and administers individualized, professional patient care to patients within medical/surgical units of the hospital. Also provides care to med/surg patients in CCU, ED and PACU. Provides nursing care as directed by medical staff and in accordance with the objectives, policies, procedures and protocols of the hospital and the state Nurse Practice Act. Maintains the standards of nursing care as established. Participates in patient teaching and discharge planning. |

Graduation from an accredited nursing program (BSN or ASN)
Graduate nurses and nurses with fewer than two years of acute care RN experience are NOT eligible for this position. |

Current Connecticut RN License
APPLICANTS MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF TWO YEARS OF RN EXPERIENCE IN ACUTE CARE MED/SURG (MUST HAVE TELEMETRY), CRITICAL CARE OR EMERGENCY NURSING.
CANDIDATES MUST HAVE TELEMETRY EXPERIENCE
Self directed in the management of patient care
Highly effective verbal and written communication skills
Independent problem solving skills

24 or 36 hrs day shift - 7:00am -7:00pm, 24 or 36 hrs night shift - 7:00pm -7:00am, & per diem both day and night shift available (please indicate in application which hours you are interested in) |
