About the Alliance
The Central Connecticut Health Alliance, Inc. (CCHA) was formed in 1995 by Bradley
Memorial and New Britain General hospitals. The purpose was to develop an integrated healthcare system that would create a continuum of care and pathways for patients as they address their healthcare needs.
Since its formation, the Alliance has expanded to include all aspects of health care. This includes The Hospital of Central Connecticut, a 414-bed, acute-care teaching hospital formed with the Oct. 1, 2006 merger of New Britain General and Bradley Memorial, as well as long-term care facilities; community and home health programs and services; senior living and assisted-living facilities; a complete range of rehabilitation services; an occupational health center; a residential substance abuse facility; and much more.
Today it is the Central Connecticut region's leading provider of healthcare services and one of the most comprehensive health systems in Connecticut
